Renowned chef Andrew Sheridan has joined Stargazy Inn. Andrew is one of the most innovative and ambitious young chefs in the country.
He rose to attention for his appearance on BBC Two’s Great British Menu in 2018 where he was branded the ‘maverick chef’ for his unusual and creative approach. Andrew returns to our TV screens in March for the 2019 series of Great British Menu.
Andrew will put his stamp on the menu introducing a new bar menu featuring his takes on Cornish classics as well as a showcasing his signature style with delicious Tasting Menus and A la Carte which play with intriguing flavours, textures and temperatures to create a truly memorable dining experience.
Andrew’s dishes are inspired by his memories of childhood like barbecuing freshly caught mackerel or his Great British Menu winning dish – Apple Rice Pudding evoking memories of his Grandma’s cooking.
Andrew moves to Cornwall from Sosban in South Wales where he was Executive Chef for 2 years transforming the restaurant into a destination for food lovers. He has an impressive track record having worked alongside Michael Caines at ABode in Chester where is rose from a junior role in the brasserie kitchen to sous chef in the fine dining restaurant. He was North West Chef of the Year (2011) and a semi-finalist in BBC Young Chef of the Year (2005).
